Happy New Year!
Sorry I haven’t been in touch for a while, life does get pretty hectic for a Labradoodle like me. I’ve been so busy in the shop over Christmas, decorating the tree, making sure only the best Christmas songs get played, and that customers can find exactly what they are looking for when it comes to buying presents!
This Christmas marked the first year that Ice Skating came to Wadebridge for our ‘Christmas Shopping Weekend’, it really was fun watching everyone on the ice. Although why people would want to skate around on something so slippery is beyond me, still it was entertaining to watch. We had a very busy weekend and there was so much to see and do, it was lovely to see lots of people getting into the Christmas spirit.
We had another busy year in Padstow for their annual Christmas Festival as well, it’s a weekend full of shopping, carols and food demonstrations from top chefs throughout the country. I particularly like smelling all the wonderful scents coming from the Food Tent! Every year it seems to grow in popularity, bringing people in to the harbour town from all four corners of the world.
At this time of year many of us like to make new years resolutions, so i thought perhaps mine could be to meet and greet as many customers as possible? It really is a good way to suss out if they are carrying pasties in their bag or not.
I really can’t believe 2019 has come around so quickly, mind you I am glad to see the back of those huge reindeer that take over the shop, you wouldn’t believe what they talk about after hours! The weather is also changing and dogs like us need to be walked come rain or shine. If you find your human is a little reluctant to get out in that Cornish mizzle you may find a paid of ‘Dogwalker’ boots will do the trick. Warm, water resistant and a bargain at only £24.99, what’s not to love? Here i am modeling them next to one of my colleagues. We find them very popular with both men and women alike, so there is really no excuse not to get out and enjoy that Cornish countryside!
I hope to see more and more of you throughout 2019,
